About the role
Since 2005, MDCalc has been an essential part of the clinician’s workflow to help achieve better patient outcomes. Actively used by more than 65% of physicians worldwide, MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference – at the point-of-care – for clinical decision tools and content, and one of only four references used by >50% of US HCPs. These evidence-based tools and content are used by millions of medical professionals globally and support 50+ specialties and cover 200+ patient conditions. To continue accelerating this growth, we are expanding our User Product team with an Associate Product Manager who will drive meaningful improvements to how clinicians find, use, and return to MDCalc. This is an exceptional opportunity for a builder who is energized by user behavior, structured experimentation, and creating real clinical utility at scale. This is a project-focused product role embedded in our user product team. You will own discrete initiatives end to end, from discovery through launch and iteration, with a clear focus on improving how clinicians find, use, and return to MDCalc. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, and Data to translate user insights and business goals into shipped products. This role is ideal for an Associate Product Manager who is energized by understanding user behavior, running structured experiments, and building features that create real clinical utility.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of Product Management/Product Analyst experience, with at least one role focused on consumer or professional end-user products
- Builder mentality with comfort operating in ambiguity, moving quickly, and taking full accountability for outcomes rather than simply shipping requirements
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end to end - from discovery and definition through launch and measurement
- Comfort with engagement metrics: retention curves, activation funnels, session depth, return visit rate, and similar
- Strong written communication skills across requirements, specs, and stakeholder updates
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Data teams
- Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing frameworks
- Startup experience strongly preferred, particularly in 0→1 environments where you helped build products, processes, or systems from the ground up
- Healthcare, clinical, or professional tool experience a plus but not required
- Experience with tools such as Linear, Notion, Snowflake, Fullstory, or Metabase
- Exposure to personalization systems or recommendation logic
- Ability to make a true difference in medicine: MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference used by 65% of physicians worldwide.
