About the role
Prediction markets only work if users trust that their money is safe, their identity is respected, and the platform behaves like the regulated financial infrastructure it is. Every product team at Kalshi depends on the money layer working. You'll be the person who makes sure it does -- and the person who turns it from infrastructure into a competitive advantage. We're looking for a payments product lead to own how money moves through Kalshi. You'll be the single PM accountable for every dollar in, every dollar out, and every risk and identity decision in between. This role spans payment rails, user-facing flows, risk, and fraud -- and it's one of the highest-leverage IC seats at the company. The work is high-stakes, deeply technical, and consequential to every user on the platform. We're looking for a payments product lead to own how money moves through Kalshi. This role spans payment rails, user-facing flows, risk, and fraud -- and it's one of the highest-leverage IC seats at the company.
What you'll bring
- 6+ years in product management with significant time in payments, fintech infrastructure, or regulated financial products -- exchange, brokerage, neobank, or high-volume consumer fintech backgrounds are all relevant
- Deep hands-on fluency with payment rails, KYC/AML providers, and fraud tooling -- you've debugged a stuck ACH return, read a chargeback representment, and shipped a KYC vendor swap
- Product instinct above all -- you read funnels, run experiments, and treat compliance as a design constraint to optimize around, not a wall to hide behind
- High tolerance for ambiguity, speed, and the specific kind of pressure that comes with owning real money flows for real users
- Fluency in crypto and stablecoin infrastructure for payments
