About the role
This role is a Hybrid role. Inovalon's current policy is in the office a min. of Tues. and Wed., but you are always welcome to come in more** The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal and commercial advice in support of deal execution, business expansion and growth initiatives. This role will also negotiate a variety of commercial transactions involving a broad range of healthcare entities, including hospitals, health systems, health plans, physician practices and other healthcare organizations. The incumbent will serve as a partner to cross-functional stakeholders by supporting strategic partnerships and connectivity arrangements that drive operational growth. While this role will principally support the Provider business unit, the incumbent will also provide legal support across other business units as business needs dictate.

- At least ten (10) years of relevant legal experience as a practicing attorney with at least five (5) years of experience working at a law firm, corporate legal department or similar organization;
- Significant experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements;
- Ability to identify and assess legal, operational, and business risks while delivering practical, solution-oriented guidance to business partners;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal concepts and risks to business and executive stakeholders;
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple deals, agreements, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business judgment, with the ability to think tactically and strategically and provide practical advice by balancing business needs with legal risks.
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in any US state or the District of Columbia.
- High volume commercial transactions experience with a sales-driven, software or technology company is a plus;
- Experience supporting healthcare provider organizations such as hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory practices and payers is preferred;
