What you'll bring
- Candidates must be willing and available to deploy on short notice, as needed.
- High School diploma and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid US driver’s license
- Experience using FEMA’s Substantial Damage Estimator (SDE) tool to input data as needed, ensuring compliance with FEMA protocols.
- Ability to generate detailed reports summarizing findings in compliance with FEMA standards.
- Reports may include measurements, photos, sketches or maps.
- Knowledge of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations, Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), and floodplain management compliance.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal disaster recovery.
- Experience supporting large-scale disaster response operations.
- Ability to interpret technical data.
- Extended hours and rapid response may be required during activations.
