As a software engineer on this team, you will build the identity, vetting, and access management infrastructure that underpins our trusted access programs, along with the monitoring and enforcement tooling that keeps them safe. This work sits at the center of how Anthropic deploys frontier capabilities responsibly, balancing broad access with rigorous safeguards.
What you'll bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable experience
- Experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Care about the societal impacts of AI and want your work to make powerful systems safer
- A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
- 8+ years of industry software engineering experience (not including internships and co-ops)
- Experience with identity, authentication, or authorization systems at scale
- Experience with KYC/KYB workflows or identity verification vendors
- Experience in trust and safety, integrity, fraud, or abuse detection
- Experience detecting and responding to account takeover or credential compromise
