About the role
Assist the Facility Manager in planning work, scheduling and directing other team electricians and contractors performing work at Symphony Hall. Perform Master Electrician level work in the maintenance, modification, overhaul, installation, service, repair of all types of electrical systems and general labor for Symphony Hall facilities, production and ancillary BSO properties. May be requested to work within or out of their specific trade designation in the overall maintenance and operation of the BSO.
What you'll bring
- Must be available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to respond to facility emergencies.
- High School diploma or GED with 5-7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate work.
- Ability to understand integrated complexities of building electrical systems.
- Ability to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment.
- Ability to install and maintain motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including planning additions and modifications on secondary circuits.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances.
- Knowledge and experience with working on older wiring systems
- Language Skills: English
- Massachusetts: Journeyman’s Electrician License (minimum) Master Electrician’s License (preferred)
