About the role
We are seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our accounting team and serve as a key operator within the revenue function. This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA, and follows a hybrid schedule.
What you'll bring

- The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Deep, hands-on expertise in ASC 606, including the five-step model, performance obligation identification, transaction price allocation, variable consideration, and principal vs. agent considerations in reseller and marketplace channels.
- Working knowledge of ASC 340-40 contract cost capitalization and amortization, with the ability to build and defend supporting analytics, rollforwards, and recoverability assessments.
- Strong track record of owning monthly revenue close, deferred revenue rollforwards, and cutoff testing, with audit-ready documentation and clear memos for significant judgments and estimates.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex revenue accounting concepts and data findings into clear, accessible narratives for non-technical stakeholders across Product, Data, Operations, and Legal.
